Crisis Management Services

Boardroom@Crisis BV (B@C) helps clients prevent and prepare for crises with advice, training and presentations. As our name implies we think from the leadership perspective outward but can help organizations at every level.

B@C provides three Crisis Management Services:

We are a small team of diverse, experienced practitioners who use clear, proven plans, practices and procedures vetted by top companies and institutions backed by ISO, BSI, ANSI, ASIS and EU standards, benchmarking, and a lot of experience. Our assistance aims at maximum effect in minimum time to let you and your team perform at your best when challenges arise.

Since our founding by Glenn Schoen in 2015, B@C has served over 75 different corporate, government, family office and international organization clients in locations as varied as Amsterdam, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Geneva, Chicago, Frankfurt, Munich, Brussels, Rome, Sinai, Athens, Copenhagen, Dublin and Tokyo. Based in The Netherlands, our international orientation means we are strong and comfortable in multinational, multicultural, multilingual settings.

Advice

We can advise you using formats ranging from written reports, workshops, webinars, and briefings to one-on-one counseling. Our advisory services principally concern:

  • Reviews
  • Planning
  • Risk Analysis
  • Crisis Infrastructure
  • Crisis Program Launches
  • Crisis Management Teams
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Good Practice Guidance Documents

As part of our services, B@C offers crisis support to select clients facing urgent challenges. This usually entails delivering rapid remote or on-the-spot advice and expert network engagement to mitigate unfolding risks.

Workshops and webinars are custom-made to serve your requirements and usually center on specific topics like crisis management team performance, crisis risk examination, or other issues of specific interest to the client. Workshops or seminars often entail a mix of knowledge-sharing, insight creation through short discussion and polling, and experience-based learning using mini crisis exercise games.

Training

B@C delivers energizing crisis management team training in the form of table top exercises (TTX). We offer these in so-called Walk-Through Exercise (WTX), standard Crisis Management Exercise (CMX) and Joint Readiness Exercise (JRX) formats, each optimized for high interactivity and experience-based learning. We tailor the program and the scenario to your training objectives and can provide you with a compact report afterwards to help you with your readiness, learning and compliance goals. Our programs typically run a half to a full day and conclude with a debriefing to capture newly generated insights and learning.

TTX Purpose

  • Generate new insight into organizational risks
  • Provide a window on unfamiliar risk drivers
  • Meet governance/compliance objectives
  • Serve as testbed for existing crisis plans
  • Conduct formative team experience

TTX Program

  • Typically, a half-day program built around a tabletop exercise
  • A client-tailored multi-stage, multi-dimensional scenario
  • Preceded by introduction and or expert presentations
  • Concluded with short lessons-learned debriefing
  • Follow-up via compact evaluation briefer

TTX Benefits

  • Improves crisis team and organizational process performance
  • Improves crisis team members’ personal performance
  • Generates new risk vulnerability/response insights
  • Meets/exceeds training objectives
  • Attains compliance goals

Services are offered in English and Dutch.

Assuring You Quality Service Delivery

To ensure high quality service delivery for our clients we apply principles from or embodied in the ISO 20700 Guidelines for Management Consulting Services, the International Association of Project Managers, and EY Quality Engagement.

To ensure effective adult learning techniques are applied in each client training, workshop, seminar and presentation we use techniques developed, taught and endorsed by the Association for Talent Development, the Association of College and University Educators, and the International Association of Facilitators.

Presentations

B@C provides engaging, customized presentations to enhance awareness, generate new insight, and outline the strategic and practical dimensions of crisis issues and risk drivers, including for the international Speakers Academy agency. This requires a strong grasp of the issues at hand, original thinking, experience, fresh data and skilled delivery. Glenn Schoen and his associates regularly give keynote presentations highly rated for their freshness, content, engagement level and overall value.
